The plan for the year 2021
As the first steps towards the application in organic farming and building an eco community we will touch base with Fingal County Council.
We will focus on developing a spiritual yoga construction with the use of renewable and recyclable products.
We will raise €10,000 per month to achieve the goal of €100,000 by December 2021. We have raised €43,000 so far.
At Govinda's Eco Community, we want to be a school for sustainability and teach future generations to easily implement ecological practises in their day-to-day lives. For our farm, the use of non-chemical pesticides, plant pairing, multifunctional farming and biodiversity rich gardens are an effective way to practice a greener future.
Planting complimentary plants together act as a natural pesticide. With the use of organic methods, it will harness a symbiotic relationship between various crops as well as natural soil nutrition and water conservation.
Cows are vital for success for spirituality and organic farming. With reliance of ox power and manure, the land is fertilised and crops are nourished.
Under this programme, the cows are never slaughtered and are cared for until the end of their lives.
